Fit and movement
Check a polo through a golf swing
Look beyond standing fit when evaluating comfort.
A polo that looks tidy while standing may pull during a swing or ride up when reaching. Try the movements you will actually make, using the layers and waistband arrangement you expect to wear on the course.
Work through it
- Check shoulder seams, chest ease and sleeve openings with your arms relaxed. Note any pressure before moving.
- Rotate through a slow practice swing and reach forward as if addressing the ball. Watch for pulling across the upper back and restriction at the upper arms.
- Sit, bend and reach overhead. Recheck the collar and hem, then decide whether the amount of movement suits your preference.
Check your result
- The back and sleeves allow comfortable motion.
- The hem behaves as intended.
- The fit works with the planned base layer.
